Chris has a medical condition called hyperkeratosis, which causes an overproduction and thickening of keratin, the same material that makes up a bird’s beak, nails, and skin. He has raised feather follicles that are not painful to him. Because of this, Chris will need routine monitoring, proper nutrition, humidity, and regular avian veterinary care to help keep him comfortable and healthy.
Despite his condition, Chris is full of personality and deserves a loving home willing to give him the extra care and understanding he needs.
