Louie has had a tough life. This is his second time at the rescue due to no fault of his own. We would like to see him in a forever home. Louie is a character! He makes his foster mom and dad laugh all the time. He loves to hop all over his cage and yells out, “Hi Baby!”. But Louie is a typical cockatoo. He has hormonal periods and can be loud. Louie is a one-person bird. But if you are that person, he loves you to pieces! From time to time he will let other’s pet him but that is only is his favorite person is not in view. If you are looking for a family bird, Louie is not for you. Louie requires an owner with cockatoo experience.
Due to his traumatic past, he is a plucker. He will pull a feather around his neck every once in a blue moon. It usually happens when he gets over stimulated.
*** Louie has been with his foster family for approximately 6 months. He has come a long way. He likes company and wants a pet from everyone who comes to visit. (Just not his foster Mom. She can pet Louie when he is desperate and his foster dad is not there to love on him.) We believe that Louie will just improve.
How much would it be to adopt him Louie and give him the thd best life . I had a Blue and gold mamaw for years and iam looking to get another bird so I could give if the best home ever and all the attention . Hopefully I hear back soon

Hi! I’m very interested in him. My timneh passed two weeks ago and I’ve been pretty torn up, I rescued “ Stella “ from a lady who rescued her from a terrible situation, she was pretty old and grumpy but who could blame her! She was with me 24/7 and went just about everywhere with me, I loved her so much! I’m afraid if I get another timneh I will keep comparing the two and still grieve about my Stella. I’ve watched multiple videos on cockatoos and find them quirky, comical and loving with a little attitude! lol I know I can help him as he helps me! I’ve also had a breeder tell me I should get a cockatoo. I’d spoil it rotten and it would go everywhere with me, I promise within a week we’ll be best friends 💕
