Louie has had a tough life. This is his second time at the rescue due to no fault of his own. We would like to see him in a forever home. Louie is a character! He makes his foster mom and dad laugh all the time. He loves to hop all over his cage and yells out, “Hi Baby!” His favorite toys are small plastic bowls, which he will carry from the bottom of his cage to his bowl. Louie also loves to dance in his food bowl. But Louie is a typical cockatoo. He has hormonal periods and can be loud. Louie is a one-person bird. But if you are that person, he loves you to pieces! From time to time, he will let others pet him but that is only is his favorite person is not in view. If you are looking for a family bird, Louie is not for you. Louie requires an owner with cockatoo experience.
Due to his traumatic past, he is a plucker. He will pull a feather around his neck every once in a blue moon. It usually happens when he gets over stimulated.
