Violet is a bright, beautiful, and wonderfully expressive Indian Ringneck who knows exactly how she likes to interact with her people. Some days she’s eager to train and show off, and other days she enjoys simply relaxing on her perch and observing the world around her. Once you learn her rhythm, she’s a very predictable and rewarding companion who communicates clearly when she’s ready to engage.

She is an excellent flyer with great control and absolutely loves recall games, light training sessions, and flying from perch to perch for treats. Violet responds to “come here” rather than the traditional “step up,” and once she trusts you, she’s very motivated to participate. She learns quickly, especially with her favorite treats, and her signature trick — spinning — never fails to impress.

Like many Ringnecks, Violet has a few behaviors that simply require understanding and awareness. She can be a bit protective of her cage during feeding and may give a light nip if she’s unsure or overstimulated. With consistent routines and calm handling, she settles beautifully and becomes more confident. During hormonal seasons she may explore potential nesting spots, but gentle redirection works well for her.

Violet isn’t a cuddly bird, but she genuinely enjoys being near her people — sitting on a knee, hanging out on a stand, and being part of the room’s activity. She will thrive in a home that supports flight, enjoys training and enrichment, and appreciates a bird with a big personality and clear communication. With respect for her boundaries and a predictable routine, Violet has all the potential to form a strong, trusting bond with her next family.
