We must do a 3-month foster-to-adopt period in our adoption process to ensure the bird is a good fit for your home. Our birds vary in age, have had various experiences, and have different personalities. Each bird species has its own quirks that are enduring to some and irritating to others. Our goal is to match you with a bird that fits your personality. To adopt the following is required:
- A filled-out Foster-to-Adopt application with instructions is located below.
- We will contact you within 24 to 72 hours to schedule a video appointment. During the video appointment, we will:
- Review your completed application.
- Meet all members of your household.
- Tour your home to see where the bird will participate in family life and the location of its cage.
- Decide if and when we will conduct the bird meet-and-greet.
- The meet-and-greet is an in-person adoption event. Our rescue is located at 5469 County Road 25, Cardington, OH 43315. Please note any/all birds you are interested in meeting so that we can coordinate with their foster parents.
Please note by agreeing to this appointment, you are also agreeing to the following items:
1) All Adoptions require a minimum of two in-person visits to the rescue, depending on the bird, before you can bring the bird home.
2) All birds have an adoption fee that must be paid in full before the bird leaves the rescue. These fees are non-negotiable. We accept Cash, Zelle, Venmo, Paypal, or CashApp. We do not accept checks or credit cards.
3) The Charlie Brown Bird Rescue reserves the right to decide if any person/family visiting will or will not foster/adopt.
