Blue & Gold Macaw
Nino is a 25-year-old Blue & Gold Macaw with a calm confidence and a playful, people-loving heart. He spent many years living an active, enriched life with his previous owner, including harness time and outdoor flight work earlier in life—experiences that helped shape his curiosity and trust.
As his owner aged and could no longer provide the same level of care, Nino came to the rescue to begin a new chapter. Nino is currently thriving in a foster home, where his personality is really shining. He enjoys playing his own version of tug-of-war with his toys, cheerfully saying “hello,” and walking around to be wherever his favorite humans are, always wanting to stay close and involved.
Nino’s gentle spirit and affectionate nature make him a joy to be around, and we’re grateful to see him settling into this season with support, enrichment, and plenty of companionship.
