Elliot is a 31-year-old Severe Macaw with a long history at The Charlie Browns Rescue. He originally came to us in 2022 and later went home with a wonderful owner who loved him dearly. When they began medical treatment, Elliot returned to our care—and now he’s searching for his next, and hopefully forever, home.
Elliot is fully flighted and absolutely loves his out-of-cage time. He does know “step up,” but he needs to feel safe and comfortable with a person before he offers it reliably. A patient, gentle adopter will be the key to helping him feel secure.
He’s very food motivated, which makes training and trust-building both effective and rewarding. While toys haven’t always been his favorite, we’ve been working on building a positive association with them and helping him discover healthier ways to play and stay engaged.
Elliot has a sweet spirit and so much potential—he just needs someone who understands the value of patience, routine, and letting a bird bloom at their own pace.
