Blue Quaker Parakeet –
Age: 2 years old
Sex: DNA Tested Male

Leo is a blue Quaker parrot with a big personality and a sensitive heart. He came to rescue due to circumstances beyond his control, having spent much of his previous time without consistent interaction. As a result, Leo is still learning how to feel safe and confident around people.
Leo can be territorial of his cage and may vocalize when he wants attention—especially if someone enters his space. While he isn’t currently hand-tame and doesn’t know commands like “step up,” he has not shown a history of biting that causes injury. He simply needs his boundaries respected and someone willing to go slow with him.
One of Leo’s most endearing traits is his love for shiny toys, especially his beloved emotional-support maraca, which brings him comfort and joy. He also enjoys toys with paper to shred, keeping his clever Quaker mind engaged.
Leo does talk and has a playful side—and will even mimic laughter. He has no preference for men or women.
Leo would thrive in a patient, experienced home that understands Quaker behavior, respects cage boundaries, and is willing to build trust at his pace. With consistency, enrichment, and kindness, Leo has the potential to grow into a deeply rewarding companion—maraca included.
